I'm a creative, relatable counsellor, known for bringing a real sense of ease into the therapy space, because I believe feeling comfortable and able to be yourself is where real change begins.
I work with both adults and young people, and I'm passionate about supporting young people. I have many years of experience working in schools and colleges, across both mainstream and SEN settings, which has given me a strong understanding of the challenges young people face today.
I aim to create a space where people feel genuinely respected, heard, and accepted, especially if they have struggled to find that elsewhere.
I also support clients with anxiety, trauma, relationships, and neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism. I also have experience working with LGBTQ+ clients and feel especially passionate about supporting transgender young people. I understand how important it is to have a space where you can feel completely accepted for who you are.
Having had many differing experiences of trauma, I feel deeply driven to offer support to others now. I know how powerful it can be to have someone you trust, someone who listens, understands, and stands alongside you. That experience shapes the empathy and care I bring into every session.
Alongside my private practice, I have spent over 12 years working with a charity supporting female survivors of abuse, where I facilitated weekly group sessions. This has given me extensive experience in trauma-informed counselling and supporting those who have experienced abuse.
In addition to this I have experience of supporting people who have experienced grief, baby and child loss, and dementia.
My approach is collaborative and flexible. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a shared process, where you have autonomy and choice. Your sessions are led by you, your pace, your voice, your needs. My role is to support you in getting what you need from the space, in a way that feels right for you.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I've been fortunate to receive fantastic feedback from both adult and younger clients, which reflects the safe, supportive, and engaging environment I aim to create.
