    Supporting Loneliness at Christmas with a Mental Health Walk in Eastleigh

    Natalie from The Counselling Space organised a special Mental Health and Wellbeing Walk at Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh, designed to support those who may be experiencing loneliness over the Christmas holidays.

    This walk provides a safe, welcoming space for people to connect, reflect, and feel less alone during what can be a difficult time of year. It’s part of our commitment to building community and promoting emotional wellbeing through accessible, real-life support.

    We’re proud to share that Beccie from The Counselling Space recently spoke with Steve Harris on BBC Radio Solentabout our upcoming Mental Health and Wellbeing Walk at Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh. Organised by Natalie, this special walk is focused on supporting people who may be feeling lonely or isolated over the Christmas period.

    It’s part of our ongoing mission to reduce the stigma around mental health, build community connections, and create safe spaces for honest conversations.

    Self-Care Discussion at Our Mental Health Walk in Lakeside Country Park, Eastleigh

    During our recent Mental Health and Wellbeing Walk at Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh, Rebecca and Bex led a thoughtful and supportive discussion focused on self-care during the Christmas holidays. They shared a series of powerful conversation prompts that encouraged reflection, connection, and open sharing among the group.

    These seasonal wellbeing walks provide a safe, welcoming space to explore important topics like stress, loneliness, and emotional resilience—especially during challenging times like the festive season.

  • Certificate in Working Therapeutically with Autistic Clients awarded to an individual by Counselling Tutor, issued on 25 November 2024. The certificate accounts for 50 CPD hours.

    Congratulations to Bex – Now a Certified Creative Counsellor!

    We’re thrilled to share that Bex has recently completed her Creative Counselling Certificate, and we’re so proud to have her as part of The Counselling Space team. As a qualified creative counsellor, Bex brings a unique and imaginative approach to therapy, using creative techniques to support emotional expression, healing, and personal growth.

    Her training adds even more depth to our work with individuals seeking support for mental health, trauma, and self-discovery through creative and client-centred counselling.

    Monthly Mental Health & Wellbeing Walk at Lakeside Country Park, Eastleigh

    Each month, The Counselling Space donates time to lead a Mental Health and Wellbeing Walk at Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh. These walks offer a safe, supportive space to connect with others and explore meaningful topics that impact our emotional wellbeing.

    This month’s walk focused on loneliness, and it was such a wholesome, heartfelt experience. We’re proud to help reduce stigma around mental health by creating opportunities for open conversation, connection, and community support in a beautiful natural setting.

    Natalie and Beccie from The Counselling Space joined Outreach Radio to talk openly about men’s mental health, emotional trauma, and the challenges men face when reaching out for support. They explored the stigma surrounding mental health in men, the importance of normalising vulnerability, and how therapy can help break the cycle of silence.
